Windsor Museums invites the public to attend the grand opening of the newly preserved Eaton House on Aug. 15 from 6 to 8:30 p.m. at 100 5th St.
This free, family-friendly event offers a rare opportunity to explore the inside of the Eaton House, originally built in 1902 by Windsor resident, Benjamin Eaton, who played a pivotal role in Colorado’s irrigation history and agricultural heritage.
Highlights of the event include interactive exhibits, hands-on learning stations and water- themed actives with local partners the Bird Conservancy of the Rockies, West Greeley Conservation District, Clearview Library District and more.
Originally the residence of irrigation ditch riders, the Eaton House now serves as a dynamic hub for learning and community engagement.
“We're celebrating the completion of the building through this event and inviting the public to explore all things water — a key to the building's history and future,” said Laura Browarny, Recreation Supervisor.
