Visual/Verse is a culmination of a dozen pairings of poets and visual artists who worked collaboratively for three months to create the work for this show. This exploration into the creative process is sure to produce some impressive works of art. The artists and poets that were invited to participate in this show were selected to be in last year’s annual community art show: Free For All. These artists and poets met in February of this year and were paired off at random. After that meeting, these pairs have been working with each other to produce new work.
Join us for an opening reception on June 6th from 5 - 8pm and for a closing reception on July 11th from 5 - 8pm. Both receptions will be unique, and the artists will be presenting their works, reading poetry and speaking on the collaborative process. Visual/ Verse runs from May 30th through July 27th at the Art & Heritage Center. The Art & Heritage Center is open Friday – Sunday from 12 - 4 p.m. and the exhibit is free to attend.
