The Town of Windsor Museums opens a new art exhibition at the Art & Heritage Center, 116 5th St.  An opening reception will be held on Friday, Sept. 3 at 6:00 p.m. The public is invited to visit the complimentary exhibition Fridays through Sundays, 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. between Sept. 4 and Jan. 9, 2022.

The Forces of Nature exhibition explores how artists use various mediums including sculpture, poetry, painting, fiber art and photography to capture the many influences of nature.

“Of the 286 artworks submitted, we have chosen 97 pieces for this year’s 7th annual community art exhibition. We have 80 artists competing for first through third place prizes for poetry and visual art,” said Caitlin Heusser, museum curator. “visitors also have a chance to vote for their favorite artwork to win the  community-choice award, which will be announced at the end of the exhibition in January.

The exhibition closes to the public three times throughout the season. The closure dates include Oct. 23 to Oct. 24, Nov. 26 to Nov. 28 and Dec. 24 to Jan. 2.
