The Town of Windsor is updating playground equipment at Windsor Village Park, 55 Rochester Drive. On June 15, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., the community is encouraged to come out, join the Parks and Recreation & Culture team, hear more about the project and cast their vote based on two playground concepts.
The Parks and Recreation & Culture team will be there to present renderings of the designs and construction of the playground installation, answer questions, discuss the process and listen to suggestions.
“We value the input of our community and want to hear from the kids who will be using the playground, their parents, anyone who lives in the neighborhood,” said Tara Fotsch, Deputy Director of Windsor Parks, Recreation & Culture. “Having our residents participate and share their voice allows us to build with them and their children in mind. We want our residents, teens, kids, and anyone living in Windsor to come out, vote, and have an opportunity to shape how their children play in their community.”
Residents and children will have an opportunity to view images of the playground and cast their vote directly from their mobile device. For those who do not own a mobile device, iPads will be available for the community to cast their vote and will be cleaned between each use. To add additional fun in the mix, Kona Ice will be onsite for children, teens, and anyone in the community to enjoy complimentary[TF4] Kona Ice treats.
The final results will be posted on the Town’s website:https://windsorprojectconnect.com/projects
